No. You can record tracks and save waypoints without creating an account. Your tracks and saved places are stored locally on your phone.

Touch and hold a place on the map, enter a title, optionally add a description, choose an icon and tap Save. See the illustrated waypoint guide.

Open the main menu and tap Saved waypoints. Select a point, then use Show on map or open its editor to change the name, note or icon.

A point created while recording can retain a link to that track. Its details let you show or hide the linked track. Points saved outside a recording do not need a linked track.

Opening a GPX file shows a preview. Importing saves the track in your local library. You can open a file from your file manager with GPX Tracks or use Load GPX files in the app menu.

Yes. Export a track as a GPX file and use the sharing options available on your phone. The app or person you share with receives that exported copy.

No. It centres the map on your point. GPX Tracks records and displays tracks and saved places; it does not provide turn-by-turn directions.

The current release provides online maps. Offline maps are still in development.

Saved tracks, coordinates and waypoint content are not uploaded to the developer. Online map providers receive requests for the map area you view and standard connection data. Read the privacy policy for details.

Yes, in Settings. Optional Firebase Analytics measures app usage without track coordinates, GPX file names or waypoint content.

Open the point’s details, choose Delete waypoint and confirm. It disappears from the map and saved list. There is currently no restore control in the app.

They are calculated locally from altitude measurements recorded by your device’s GPS.
